Drake turned 40 over the weekend in New York City. He marked the occasion with a custom necklace that features photographs of his parents, Sandi and Dennis Graham. The piece was designed by Karen Yost, the founder of the fine jewelry brand Anomaly Relic.

Yost created the necklace after a request from Drake’s chief stylist, Juliet Charlotte. The jewelry includes a centerpiece with a family portrait set in 14k gold and diamonds. Yost stated that the design is intended to be passed down to Drake’s son. The necklace also holds charms with the inscriptions “#1 Dad” and “Super Lady.”

Yost described the item as jewelry meant to be heirloom quality. She noted that she tested the hand-crafted piece before presenting it to Drake. The Anomaly Relic studio operates as a one-person artisan practice in New York City. The founder uses antique history as raw materials to create modern pieces.

The birthday festivities included a party at Casa Cipriani on October 23. A guest described the event as elegant, over the top, and expensive. Drake distributed cash prizes to attendees, with amounts ranging from $10,000 up to one million dollars.

The milestone birthday coincided with a surge in musical activity for the artist. Earlier this year, he released three albums: Iceman, Maid of Honor, and Habibti. He also released a short film titled FOMO. These projects contributed to a resurgence in his career in 2026.

Drake also received a certification milestone last Friday. The Recording Industry Association of America granted him 30 new certifications. This achievement made him the first artist to surpass 350 million RIAA-certified units.

The celebration took place in the city where the rapper is currently based. The custom necklace served as a visible tribute to his family during the public events of his 40th birthday.
