Elián Zidán and Valeria González became parents to twin boys Amir and Karim on Thursday, October 29, at 10:48 a.m. at a hospital in Miami. The couple shared the news through a statement released by their publicist.
Zidán, a journalist, and González, a senior manager at N+ Univision, also released the first images of the infants. The photos show footprints from each baby, printed in black ink on paper.
The publicist's statement described the arrival of Amir and Karim as a special moment for the parents, who are starting this stage surrounded by love and happiness.
Before the birth, both parents posted reflections on social media about becoming parents. Zidán wrote on Instagram: "Thank you to my wife, Valeria, for giving me the greatest gift of my life and, without a doubt, the one that will change me forever." He added that the gift would make him what he always dreamed of being: a father, and that he could not wait to meet them, hug them, and start this new stage together.
González responded in comments: "I can't imagine anyone better than you to share this beautiful adventure with." She continued: "Amir and Karim are lucky to have you as a dad, and I am to build this family with you. I love you with all my heart!" On her own profile, she wrote: "Of all the blessings God has given me, the greatest has been choosing me to be the mom of Amir and Karim." She added: "Two little miracles that arrive in our lives to remind us that God's plans are more beautiful than what we dream of."
The couple married in a civil ceremony first, then held a religious wedding in November 2025.
