Gina DeSantis Ceramics will open a temporary retail space at the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce on November 5.
The pop-up shop is located at 16017 Detroit Avenue and will remain open until December 19. This location allows customers to purchase items during the holiday season without visiting the studio. The first-floor location includes a handicap ramp and ample parking for shoppers.
The shop will sell the studio's standard line of dinnerware and home decor along with exclusive items available only at this location. Gina DeSantis will be joined by visiting artists for Small Business Saturday. The studio's permanent showroom at Screw Factory Studios will remain open for its own events in October and December.
The pop-up shop operates on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from noon to 6 p.m. It will be closed on Thanksgiving. Special hours of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. are scheduled for Black Friday and Small Business Saturday. Customers can also browse the inventory online at ginadesantisceramics.com, which is available 24 hours a day. The website will also list updates on special events at the shop.
DeSantis founded the studio more than 13 years ago. The business produces handcrafted ceramic pieces in-house with a small team. Each item is shaped, glazed, and kiln-fired by hand. The pieces are designed to be dishwasher-safe, microwave-safe, and finished with lead-free, cutlery-safe glazes.
The company's work is sold in over 300 national retailers, including Nordstrom, Anthropologie, and Uncommon Goods. International sales include stores in Italy, Japan, and New Zealand. The brand has been featured in publications such as Food & Wine, Grit Daily, and The Kitchn.
