Showers and thunderstorms are expected to hang on into the late-night hours Sunday across southern Colorado, according to the KOAA News5 forecast. Any additional rainfall should total less than an inch across the region.

Moisture is forecast to push out to the east and northeast around midnight. Overnight lows for many communities will settle in the 40s and upper 30s.

Once the moisture clears, temperatures are expected to rebound to start the week. Sunshine and dry conditions return, with highs likely in the low 60s early on and warming further by midweek.

In Colorado Springs, forecasters are calling for a low of 38 and a high of 61. In Pueblo, the low is expected to be 45 with a high of 64. Mid-60s should mark the start of the week after a soggy Sunday, and little change is expected through the week. A few readings in the 70s could show up around midweek as sunshine sticks around.

Canon City is forecast to see a low of 42 and a high of 62. Temperatures there are expected to bounce back after a cool, wet Sunday night, with 60s to begin the week. That pattern should continue through the middle and end of the week as a quieter weather setup moves in.

Woodland Park is forecast to have a low of 33 and a high of 51. Highs there are expected to be average or even above average at the start of the week. Tuesday through Thursday should be warmer with plenty of sunshine across Teller County.

The extended outlook shows little change. Warmer temperatures are expected, with the middle of the week running above average. Cloud cover should decrease, giving way to abundant sunshine.

Halloween looks favorable, with mild temperatures and dry conditions in the forecast. The next chance for a change in the weather does not arrive until the second half of the coming weekend.
