Fourteen Cleveland Browns players walked a runway at Huntington Bank Field on Tuesday evening, pairing up with children who are pediatric cancer patients. The annual Halloween Fashion Show brought families from University Hospitals and The Littlest Heroes to the stadium for a night of costumes, food, and candy.
The Littlest Heroes provides emergency financial support to families battling pediatric cancer and other childhood illnesses. Participants dressed in festive outfits and were matched with a Browns player wearing a costume of their own. The pairs then walked the runway to display their attire in front of the crowd.
Player K Andre Szmyt and Long Snapper Rex Sunahara shared their observations on the night’s costumes. Szmyt dressed as a banana, while Sunahara wore a giraffe outfit. Sunahara noted that Linebacker Carson Schwesinger dressed as a pirate, a look he said Schwesinger always handles well. Sunahida also mentioned that Wide Receiver KC Concepcion Jr. wore a Fred costume that he brought personally.
Szmyt added his own praise for Linebacker Quincy Williams, who appeared as the Joker. The players helped the young guests navigate the runway, holding their hands and guiding them through poses at the end of the walk. Some children were shy, while others displayed bold energy. One boy dressed as Lightning McQueen from the Disney-Pixar Cars series shouted "Ka-Chow!" after his walk.
Left Tackle Spencer Fano participated in the event dressed as Super Mario. The occasion held personal meaning for him, as he noted that many family members have gone through cancer. Fano said his best friend, who was also 17, passed away with the disease. He described the event as a way to spend time with the families and children involved.
Moments from the night included an impromptu sumo wrestling match on the runway involving Fano and a young boy. Linebacker Quincy Williams also shared a special handshake with a child. Williams described the evening as a time for positive moments and great memories, allowing the participants to have fun for a few hours.
The event concluded with the full roster of participating players, including Defensive Backs Myles Harden, Donovan McMillon, Grant Delpit, and Zion Washington. Offensive Linemen Elgton Jenkins and Luke Wypler also walked the runway, as did Running Back Quinshon Judkins.
