Ines Gomez Mont Detained in Florida
Former TV host held at Pompano Beach center with six children's status unclear.

Ines Gomez Mont was taken into federal custody in Florida on October 30.
The former television host is currently held by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Reports place her at the Broward Transitional Center in Pompano Beach. She faces arrest warrants in Mexico dating back to 2021. Those warrants cite links to diverted public funds, fake contracts, and money laundering schemes.
Gomez Mont has six biological children. Her first marriage to businessman Javier Diaz Bravo produced daughter Ines and triplets Javier, Bruno, and Diego. That marriage ended in divorce in 2013. She married attorney Victor Alvarez Puga in 2015. They have two children, Bosco and Maria. She also has a stepson named Mayito, who is Alvarez Puga's firstborn from a previous relationship.
It is not yet known if the six biological children were with Gomez Mont when she was seized. Officials have not confirmed whether the children live in the United States or how long they have been here. Authorities must review the case to determine legal custody arrangements. They must decide who will care for the minors while Gomez Mont remains in detention.
Her husband, Victor Alvarez Puga, is also missing from public records. ICE arrested him in October 2025. His name stopped appearing in the detention center registry a few weeks after that arrest. No one has explained where he is now. He also faces arrest warrants in Mexico.
The legal team must resolve these questions before Gomez Mont can leave the facility. The children's future depends on these ongoing immigration and custody determinations.
