Incumbent Representative Emilia Sykes will face two challengers on Nov. 3 for Ohio's 13th Congressional District: Republican Carey Coleman and Independent Sandeep Dixit. Sykes, a Democrat, has held the seat since January 2023. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3, and all 435 U.S. House districts are on the ballot this year.

The district's boundaries cover all 31 townships in Summit County, 14 townships in Stark County, and two townships in Portage County. In Washington, Sykes sits on the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure and the House Committee on Science, Space, and Technology. Before Congress, she spent eight years in the Ohio House of Representatives for District 34, including four years in Democratic leadership and three years as House Minority Leader. She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Kent State University, plus a Juris Doctor and Master of Public Health from the University of Florida.

Carey Coleman has worked for years as a radio host on WNIR in Northeast Ohio. According to his campaign website, he is running to restore fiscal discipline, secure the nation's borders, defend constitutional freedoms, support law enforcement, and give parents a strong voice in their children's education. Sandeep Dixit completed a Master's degree in Integrated Manufacturing Systems Engineering from North Carolina State University in 1991, moved to the Cleveland area in 1994, and earned an MBA from Cleveland State University. His website states that he believes in policies creating opportunities and uplifting all people through education, good jobs, and affordable living.

The three candidates appear on the Nov. 3 ballot.
