Pierre Wade was arrested in Cleveland on Saturday after Stow police identified him as a suspect in the fatal shooting of his girlfriend.

The Stow Police Department issued a be-on-the-lookout notice on Friday to locate the vehicle Wade was driving. Officers from the Cuyahoga County Sheriff’s Office found him in Cleveland and took him into custody. Although the initial arrest was for an unrelated failure-to-appear warrant from Stow police, a handgun was discovered in the car during the process.

Larretta Allison, 36, was found dead inside her residence in the 4100 block of Vira Road in Stow on Wednesday afternoon. Officers responded to the home around 5:20 p.m. to assist a landlord with a tenant issue. Inside, they discovered Allison had multiple gunshot wounds. Stow Police Chief Heather Prusha stated that Allison had been deceased for a couple of days before officers arrived. The Summit County Medical Examiner confirmed her identity.

Family members arrived at the scene and told officers they had been unable to reach Allison. A neighbor reported hearing a woman screaming from a nearby backyard. The neighbor later told reporters that he believed the person was Allison's sister, who had discovered the body. The Stow Police Department and the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation are leading the case. They are investigating the incident as a possible domestic homicide.

The Summit County Prosecutor’s Office authorized felony murder charges against Wade. He was processed at the Stow City Jail before being transferred to the Summit County Jail, where he is currently held. The specific type of firearm used in the shooting has been identified but will not be released to the public until a later date.

Wade is scheduled for a video arraignment at Stow Municipal Court on Monday at 10 a.m.
